Papa Time
We watched Shane & Holly's boys the day after the cookie party. Shane & Holly were going to a New Year's Eve party and let the boys spend the night at our house. Joy went out with some friends and the boys and I stayed home with my dad (their Papa). I went & rented Madagascar for them to watch. They were so excited about being able to watch it, but we told them they had to finish their dinner before they could watch it. After they were all finished eating, we put in the DVD...and it wouldn't turn on. :) We've been having problems with our DVD player not wanting to play DVD's, but it was only once in awhile. So we kept putting it in the player to see if we could get it to work. Well it wouldn't work, so Dad & I had the idea to use a laptop computer and connect it to the TV and then watch it like that. Well, we tried that, but that wouldn't work either. So then, we thought, maybe just watch it on the laptop and not try to connect it to the TV. Well, yes you guessed it, it wouldn't work like that either. So Dad started messing around with the laptop, and the boys crowded around him wanting to see what he was doing. :) He finally got it to work on the laptop... then we couldn't see it very well, so we switched to our home computer and my Dad had to do some updates and find a program that would let us watch a DVD. Finally, he found something and we were able to watch the whole movie. It took at least an hour before we actually got to sit down and watch the movie. We heard about a minute of the first part over and over again, each time it was switched to something else. :) We had fun, even though it took forever to be able to even see it. During the movie, Spencer sat with Dad in the recliner chair. Unfortunately, I didn't get a picture. :(

Even though it took a long time to get it up and running, the boys were able to spend some time with their Papa and see how things work.
